MORE THAN ONE THOUSAND CHILDREN CONSULTED BY MONTH - Seven medical specialist that serve the Municipal Health in Lages (BRAZIL).
The Municipal Health records an average high enough to pediatric care. The average reaches 1,840 calls per month and according to the municipal health secretary, Heron Anderson de Souza, in pediatric care are referred to the Surveillance System Food and Nutrition.
This program consists of a set of information for the formulation and reorientation of public policies for food and nutritional situation of the population. "Every month are accompanied by 2,290 children and 280 pregnant women," informs the secretary.
Other program highlights is the Psychosocial Care (PPSP) dedicated to children and adolescents with disorders psychosocial conflicts. The objective is the pursuit of overcoming the difficulties faced in the areas psychological, psychopedagogic, phonoaudiological, social, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, dentistry for children, neurology and audiometry. Currently 5,204 children are registered in the Program.
