618. Initiative calls for support of dental professionals around the world

In 2010, the Ukrainian project Quality of Life for Our Parents was created. Dental professionals dedicated to the initiative, which aims to offer free implant care for needy people aged 65 or older, about 2,000 placed implants to date, helping 500 people totally toothless. Now, the project founders are asking colleagues around the world to support the World Day of Free Dental Treatment on 31 May.
The project was initiated by Professor Yaroslav Zablotskyy, president of the Association of Ukrainian Implantologistas, and spread to other countries such as Poland, Russia and Georgia. The organizers held charity events in different places to provide professional care for the elderly. Until now, doctors more than 20 countries supported concerned. Events are disseminated through radio, television and print ads.
Since 2012, this project was organized by the International Alliance Implantologists (IAA) and the project received the official support of the European Association for Osseointegration this year. On World Day of Free Dental Treatment, introduced in 2012 in honor of the 60th anniversary of the discovery of osseointegration Brånemark and scheduled for the last Friday in May of each year, dentists and Implantologists are invited to address a totally edentulous patient, free in your workplace, it could be a private or a clinic university and according to the preferred protocol the doctor. In the ideal situation, a dental implant manufacturing company would support the physician by providing the necessary material.
Dental professionals in all areas are welcome to join the IAA, in order to support the Quality of Life for Our Parents Members also have the opportunity to join other existing initiatives and support them in a local or international as well as the opportunity to start their own social project based on your own ideas with the support of the IAA.
