166) Distressing

The Prime Minister, José Sócrates, announced a program to ensure the half a million people - students, teachers and workers in education - access to reduced prices to a computer and Internet broadband. Speaking in parliament, José Sócrates said that starting in September all students falling in the 10th year will have access to a computer and broadband connection.

This news is ask, to anyone, what the real intentions of the government on policies aimed at children and youth of the country. Without wishing to underestimate the scope of the measures advocated, it is distressing indeed the stark contrast between the government initiatives and the actual needs that children and young people need today in Portugal.
As bread for the mouth, each day that passes is restricted to cut up and social rights and people to throw up many years of waiting in queues for simple dental treatment much cheaper than the whole range assumed by the government on the bet that is in new technologies ...
And I expect that the Prime Minister would finally disclose the country that all children and adolescents in this country would finally have access to oral health consultations.
