48) Andalusia (SPAIN): go with the needy

The Board launches a campaign for itinerant promote oral health among children. A bus pass by every province 144 representations of a puppet show to raise awareness among children about the importance of going to the dentist regularly.
The Ministry of Health will launch an information campaign aimed at sensitizing children Andalusian about the importance of following proper oral care, besides encouraging regular visits to the dentist header. Among other things, the book provides basic advice on the care of teeth, different parts of the mouth and the importance of going to the dentist on a regular basis. It also reports on the oral delivery free for minors, offered by the Government of Andalusia through the figure of the dentist header and the heel of dental care. The book also promotes among small other civic values, such as the importance of sharing household chores, saving water or recycling of garbage.
Of the total 144 performances to be in Andalusia, 12 correspond to Almeria, Cadiz (20); Cordoba (16), Grenada (16); Huelva (12); Jaen (16), Malaga (28) and Seville (24 ).
FREE CARE - The Board of Andalusia launched in 2002 oral health care free for children between 6 and 15 years, a measure whose implementation is being done gradually to cover the approximately 800,000 children under the age . During the year 2006, all children born in Andalusia between 1994 and 2000 can benefit from this care, which means that, in total, 587,706 are children who have access to the annual review to avoid the appearance of decay.
