Because the oral health must be made soon since the first months of life, here are some more examples that can be adapted and applied here also in Portugal.
There is not enough dentists, we must focus on prevention and allow all portuguese instant access to oral health care, without any social or geographical discrimination.
Thus, the adaptation of some of these campaigns to reality portuguese (including among the most needy population) and the creation of the possibility of immediate access to treatment that is needed is necessary and urgent measures to be applied in our country, in order to combat the serious problems of oral health that still affect a large percentage of population.

73) Oral health "versus" professional success

An attractive smile is also a business card, which can open doors - using a search of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, 74% of respondents believe an attractive smile just an obstacle to career success.
* * *
It is not enough just work and success in studies; who want to have greater professional and personal success must also have an attractive smile.
How many and how many measures for success in school, when often do not give a minimum of attention to what that children and young people most in need, particularly health care related to their development.
It is a pure lie but true: for a couple to enroll in secondary or elementary education has to take the vaccines in the day, but nobody cares about your oral health. There is courage and change to the law.

66) Some important guidelines on oral hygiene

1 - Use dental floss between all teeth at least once a day. Follow an order: start behind the last tooth to finish behind the last tooth on the other side. Do this in the arcade above and below;
2 - Clean a dental arch each time, the first higher, after the lower and finally the back of the tongue. Remember that is not excessive force that clears the teeth, but the number of times the tooth brush to scratch the surface of the teeth;
3 - Include brushing in a range of gums, because the gum needs to be rubbed and thus avoids to gingivitis;
4 - Use little toothpaste, a portion equivalent of a pea. Do not swallow the tooth pulp, as the toothpaste is only an aid to brushing;
5 - Make three bochechos with clean water to finish the brushing;
6 - Clean your teeth after meals, eat the sweets and before sleep. Due to the number of hours of sleep, the brushing of the night is one of the most important because the teeth are remineralizam a healthy environment;
7 - People with "High Incidence of Caries", that is, over four caries active, should brush their teeth every time we were feeding;
8 - Parents should narrate and brush their teeth of children; because it is proven that they only buy the notion of three-dimensional dental arcades after several demonstrations;
9 - When choosing your tooth brush to look for one that has small head, soft bristles and a cable of good grip. The brush must be discarded and individual use every three months.

CITY OF CHRISTMAS (Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil) - Children and adolescents of the municipality of Pedro Velho receive priority in the actions undertaken by the municipal hall, through the Municipal Secretary of Health. 64) Inform people of the consequences for not being properly treated in time

The dental prostheses have expiry date: a dentures that "dance" in the mouth may make it difficult to speak and chew the leaves or face early aged. In these cases, should be replaced, under the risk of harming their health. The continuous use of an inadequate or poorly adjusted dentures can damage the lining and lead to a malignancy (cancer) due to constant contact in the soft tissues of the mouth. The alert is the master and specialist in periodontics, Clarindo Mitiyoshi. He is a member of the European Academy and coordinator of the course of specialization in dental implant of the Association of Surgeons Paulista-Dentists - Section Jardim Paulista (APCD).
Mitiyoshi explains that over the years, the human being presents bone. That is, the bones on which the dental prosthesis was shaped decrease naturally. This change may leave the prosthesis unstable.
According to the expert, the caries is primarily responsible for the loss dental. Even in adulthood, the greater prevalence of periodontal disease, which affects the gums. Young people can also develop severe periodontal problems, so Mitiyoshi highlights the importance of regular visits to the dentist for the early diagnosis of the disease.
Treatment: among the options for treatment of oral rehabilitation for cases of edentulism (no teeth) are the prosthesis total (dentures) and fixed on prosthetic implant. The prosthesis on fixed implant, in the opinion of Mitiyoshi, is the definitive solution because it offers greater stability and security for the patient chew, smile and talk, recovering their self-esteem and promoting its social coexistence.
The dental industry is constantly evolving and there are various techniques and implants available for oral rehabilitation. Depending on the clinical evaluation, treatment may involve the use of bone graft and last up to six months to complete. When the clinical indication is favourable, it is possible to place the dental implant in up to one hour, without the need for bone graft. According to Mitiyoshi, now you can replace any type of prosthetic dental implant system by mouth. "Only those who want to use dentures," says.

If our leaders are truly interested in preventing the diseases associated with oral health, then pass this information to people, including younger age groups, while enabling the proper treatment to all the people - everything else is completely unnecessary and will of our tax money badly spent.

Dear Dr. Fernando Almeida, here is the thanks for his work in solidarity with those who are most needy.
