Orlando Monteiro da Silva, president of the Dental Association (OMD), was elected an honorary member of the American Dental Association (ADA), one of the most respected medical organizations Dentists worldwide.
For the first time, a Portuguese elected honorary member of the ADA. This distinction is awarded to personalities who have contributed in an exceptional way to the advancement of dentistry and globally to promote oral health. In addition to the election as an honorary member of the ADA, the Chairman of the Medical Association was also the first Portuguese to be elected president of the FDI (World Dental Federation).
The delivery of the award will take place at the meeting of the "House of Delegates," the ADA, in October, during the association's annual conference, which takes place in San Antonio, Texas.
