549. Project "VRSA to smile" in review

For this, the division called the Social Action residents covered by the program, inviting them to provide testimonials and fill some satisfaction questionnaires. In the two evaluation sessions held this week, most of those present thanked the municipality because their quality of life has improved substantially and have acquired the ability to return the smile.
The impeccable way I was treated and how quickly I recovered my problem has been the best things that could have happened to me, says Dionysius of Saints Stephen, one of the residents covered by the program. Also treated by "the VRSA Smile" was José António Pereira, 62. For this resident in Aldeia Nova (Monte Gordo) who have knowledge of the valence through social media, your life has changed in six months. Before, the problems were with the mouth that had difficulty eating, speaking or even smiling. Then, financial constraints were also delaying treatments, began by explaining this patient, who received two new prostheses. Now, I can say that everything changed, José Pereira concluded.
The "VRSA the Smile" is an initiative of the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António (Algarve), launched in September 2009, which aims to provide free dental services to disadvantaged citizens. The project is based on a protocol with six dental clinics and dentists of the county, providing, at no cost, treatments to persons not covered by the coverage of the National Health Service (SNS).
